Koh Lanta lies on the west coast of Andaman Sea in between Krabi and Phi Phi Island. Lanta island is 6 km wide and over 30 kms long, 9 beaches lie from north to south along the sunset coast.
Lanta is known for stunning scenery, fantastic white sandy beaches, and coastline with more than 70 smaller islands and plenty with forest, coral reefs and under water life. The geography of the island is typically mangroves; coral rimmed beaches; and rugged tree covered hills.
Investment Potential
Koh Lanta is the latest island which will be developed for tourism, situated south of Krabi and Phuket, being less developed than both of the aforementioned and yet being just as idyllic and even more secluded, purchasing your dream home on Koh Lanta and the Bougainvillea Terrace is without question a sound investment.
The mistakes of the past like high risers on the beach, uncontrolled cutting down of trees and building without planning is not possible here. With that and the great nature potential Lanta will be developed into a 5 star island of Thailand in the coming years.
Infrastructure is being constantly improved on the island, and on the mainland, a 4 lane road is under construction leading from Krabi to the International Airport and further to Koh Lanta.
And most importantly, real estate prices are still half that of Phuket and Samui, which again makes investing on Koh Lanta an even more interesting deal altogether as the prices will rise to a more comparable level of the other island destinations mentioned.
